There is so much that we can connect with food, we can connect festivals with food like we make delicious Christmas cake on Christmas infused with spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. Or on Kite flying day in India specially Gujarat there is Undhiyu an Indian classic vegetable dish that is made with winter greens, beans, potatoes, sweet potatoes, yams, eggplant and based with tomatoes, ginger, garlic, green chillies and many other spices that creates a unique taste worth the try. You can order food online in Fremont and enjoy the delicacies to the maximum.

There are so many other delicacies that I can talk about when I speak of Indian food and festivals. Like on Dussehra there is a ritual to eat fafada jalebi, or like we have shir khurma on Eid, like ganesh chaturthi comes with different types of Modaks, steamed or fried or even some are baked. Festivals have their special Influence on the type of food served on that day. There are many Indian restaurants in Fremont serving up some delicious Indian food to the neighbourhood community.

I love the food served as street food in India, It includes some chaats and tasty things like sev puri, bhel puri, papdi chaat, aloo tikki, samosa chaat, dahi bhalle, pav bhaji or vada pav, or cholle bhature or say even the desserts are like delicious like kheer  ( Indian Rice pudding) or some mouth-watering gajjar ka halwa, gulab jamun or so. Taj-E-Chaat in Fremont serves up some delicious and unique Chaat as well as other Indian delicacies. Indian food is most of the times made with ayurvedic principles with the properties and are known for the amazing flavors it has to offer.  Biryanis or the pilaf, the lamb vindaloo or the exotic butter chicken, or dal makhani, shahi paneer, tandoori paneer tikka or chicken tikka. Try out the best that you like.
